Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using ChargeSlot.

1. Introduction

Welcome to ChargeSlot. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the ChargeSlot platform, including our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using ChargeSlot, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

ChargeSlot is operated by Dawid Patryk Kostka, a sole proprietorship registered in Austria.

2. Definitions

  • Service: The ChargeSlot platform, including all features, tools, and functionalities for managing EV charging station bookings.
  • User: Any individual who accesses or uses the Service, including employees invited to book charging stations.
  • Organization: A company, business, or entity that subscribes to ChargeSlot to manage EV charging stations.
  • Manager: A User with administrative privileges to manage an Organization's stations, users, and settings.
  • Station: An EV charging point registered within the Service for booking management.
  • Booking: A reservation made by a User to use a Station during a specific time period.

3. Account Registration

To use ChargeSlot, you must create an account or accept an invitation from an Organization. When creating or using an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain the security of your password and account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have parental consent

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

  • Subscription Plans

    ChargeSlot offers various subscription plans (Starter, Business, Portfolio) with different features and station limits. Plan details and pricing are available on our website and may be updated from time to time.

  • Free Trial

    New Organizations may be eligible for a 14-day free trial. During the trial, you have full access to all features. No payment is required until the trial ends.

  • Payment Processing

    Payments are processed through Mollie, our third-party payment provider. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your selected billing cycle.

  • Automatic Renewal

    Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You will be charged the applicable subscription fee unless you cancel before the renewal date.

  • Cancellation

    You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will retain access until then.

  • Refunds

    Subscription fees are generally non-refundable. However, we may consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis. Contact us if you have concerns about your billing.

5. Service Usage

ChargeSlot provides tools to manage EV charging station bookings. Key features include:

  • Creating, modifying, and canceling charging station bookings
  • Managing charging stations across multiple locations
  • Receiving notifications for booking confirmations, reminders, and completions
  • Accessing analytics and usage reports through the manager dashboard

6. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to misuse the Service. The following activities are prohibited:

  • Abuse, harass, or threaten other users
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely state your affiliation

7. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ChargeSlot and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service without our prior written consent. Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property rights in the Service or the content you access.

8. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChargeSlot and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. ChargeSlot manages booking software only and is not responsible for the physical charging stations, electrical systems, or any damages resulting from EV charging activities.

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability of the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription and contacting us to request account deletion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Austria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Vienna, Austria. If you are a consumer within the European Union, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you should stop using the Service and cancel your subscription.
